Job Details
The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of patient care services by performing and managing the following duties of the nursing staff. The RN Manager provides general medical care and treatment to clinic patients under the direction of a physician.
Requirements
- Maintain active State RN license.
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff; provide orientation and ongoing training. Supervises, disciplines and ensures ongoing clinical and professional proficiency of nursing staff.
- Conducts orientation of new nursing staff and assures that training and education needs of the staff are met.
- Manage scheduling for operating room, labor and delivery, and antenatal unit.
- Coordinate patient care and assist physicians with prenatal visits, procedures, and antenatal testing.
- Perform venipuncture, medication administration, and telephone triage; document all care accurately.
- Ensure accurate documentation for billing, authorizations, and CPT/ICD coding.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families; uphold confidentiality and ethical standards
- Ensures compliance with all clinical protocols. Oversees the adherence to OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines, conducts periodic training, and performs regular audits.
- Understands and enforces department/corporate policies.Participates in appropriate department and organization committees.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of patient care guidelines and protocols.
- Ensure proper recall systems are in place and utilized to ensure highest quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- Maintains and possesses a state RN License
- Must maintain CPR certification
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Nursing. Office based practice experience preferred
Experience Industry: Healthcare
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
