    Requirements

    Are you an experienced Physician Assistant looking to practice at the top of your scope in a high‑performing pediatric surgery setting? Our established and growing practice offers a dynamic environment where your expertise is valued, your autonomy is supported, and your contributions directly enhance patient care across East Texas.

    We are a collaborative team seeking a skilled PA who thrives in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and enjoys meaningful responsibility.

    Job Details:

    • Coverage of one Level III hospital and an outreach clinic alongside a pediatric surgeon
    • Mix of pre-scheduled surgeries and call coverage
    • Outpatient cases performed at a nearby ambulatory surgery center
    • 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage and three board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists on-site
    • Assist in all types of pediatric surgical cases; participate in rounding and discharging hospital patients many reasons people choose to relocate here and put down roots.

    Located approximately 100 miles southeast of Dallas, Tyler is the economic, educational, financial, medical, and cultural hub of Smith County.     Tyler is home to more than 20,000 higher-education students, the University of Texas at Tyler, a university health science center, and several regional hospital systems. The city offers residents a dense suburban feel, with most residents owning their homes.

    Qualifications

    • Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
    • Minimum of a master’s degree
    • Previous experience required
