Job Details
The Medical Assistant MUST have an MA diploma and performs both clinical and administrative duties that directly support efficient clinic flow, effective and safe clinic operations, and excellent patient experience. The Medical Assistant supports patient care by taking medical histories, accurately capturing and documenting patient vital signs, requesting and updating patient medical records, filing communicating with patients, and providing documentation for patients or members of the healthcare team while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. The Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities may vary based on state regulations.
Requirements
- Welcome and escort patients; record medical history and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Perform permitted clinical tasks (specimen collection, injections, venipuncture).
- Communicate instructions and schedule tests, treatments, and follow-ups.
- Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
- Manage patient records, referrals, and incoming calls/messages.
- Support safe, high-quality care and excellent patient experience.
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- MA certification required (or must obtain within 6–12 months per state requirements).
- CPR certification required.
Experience:
- 1+ years in an office-based healthcare setting preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Ability to follow universal precautions and maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards and patient safety.

Compensation: Pay for position ranges from $16.53 to $28.37 per hour and is based on relevant experience.
