    Pediatrix & Obstetrix is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Hospitalist to serve as Practice Medical Director at Rose Medical Center, a Magnet®‑designated facility recognized for excellence in women’s health in Denver, CO. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical leadership, program oversight, and hands‑on patient care within a high-performing obstetric program.

    The OB/GYN Hospitalist Medical Director Opportunity

    As Practice Medical Director, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership for the OB/GYN hospitalist program while maintaining an active clinical practice. You will partner closely with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and physician colleagues to support quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and a positive provider experience.

    Position & OB/GYN Hospitalist Program Highlights

    • Lead a high-volume, well-established program with approximately 4,000 annual deliveries
    • Provide comprehensive hospital-based OB/GYN care
    • Flexible schedule of just 6 (24-hour) shifts per month, allowing time for leadership responsibilities and work-life balance
    • Practice within a highly collaborative environment alongside:
      • Experienced anesthesiologists and CRNAs
      • Neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners
      • A fully supported Level III NICU
    • Strong institutional reputation as Denver’s premier destination for maternity care

    OB/GYN Hospitalist Medical Director Responsibilities

    • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OB/GYN Hospitalist program
    • Serve as the primary liaison between hospital administration, nursing leadership, and physician providers
    • Promote and monitor quality, safety, and compliance initiatives, including peer review and performance improvement activities
    • Support provider scheduling, onboarding, mentoring, and professional development
    • Lead or participate in OB quality committees, protocol development, and evidence-based practice initiatives
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and patient-centered care
    • Assist with recruitment and retention efforts to support program stability and growth
    • Ensure alignment with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices

    Qualifications

    • Board-Certified OB/GYN (ABOG)
    • 2+ years post-residency experience
    • Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
    • 2+ years of Leadership or Directorship experience
    • Ability to obtain CO medical licensure
